I love being able to keep in touch with past clients! Tom & Auralia were married last summer and figured this summer would be a good time to update their family photos as well. I think that was a great idea.

Bill & Julia’s Greek Wedding

A referral from my favourite deejay, First Class DJ Service, Julia and Bill were married this past Saturday at the picturesque Sts. Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church and had their reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver. We had a great time shooting portraits at the nearby conference centre too.

Grand Opening of Seasonal 56

My favourite caterers, The Seasonal Experience, have opened a family run restaurant in Abbotsford called Seasonal 56. Last night was their pre-grand opening party and I was invited to check it out along with their family, friends and long time customers. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented!! Along with their delicious food and personalized service, they have a great mission statement:

I recently did a family-slash-engagement session for Kim & Marcel out in Deep Cove. Their little guy, Benjamin, was such a ham!! And soooo cute too. Watch for more of their photos in the fall!

Darren & Amanda were married a few years back (before my blogging days) and now that they have a daughter decided it was time to get some family photos done. I think that was a great idea!

I met Ryan at Stephanie & Sean’s wedding a couple of years ago. I must have made a good impression because when it came time for his own wedding he contacted me to shoot it!

The wedding was last Friday in the Queen’s Park Rose Garden. What a beautiful day it was! We’ve had so much rain and wind and just generally ‘iffy’ weather that it was nice to see the sun for a whole day. After doing the formals at Deer Lake Park, they had their reception at the Firefighter’s Banquet hall in Metrotown. There were plenty of other photographers at their wedding so there was a little bit of gear envy going on… even on my part! LOL!!!

Mattias

I am a little behind with my blogging. Sorry to my faithful readers!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph three year old Mattias Hoegler and his family. Mattias was born with half a heart and is going in for his 13th surgery on May 13th. He was so fun and spunky the day we met, it was hard to believe he is sick! You can read about Mattias on the blog his Mom, Hege, keeps at www.thehoeglerfamily.blogspot.com.

Lindsay & Jeff were married at Chateau Cargill on Sunday – the one nice day we’ve had in a long time and my first wedding of 2009! It was a little chilly at the beach, but Lindsay was a trooper and just kept chanting ‘it’s not cold it’s not cold it’s not cold’. It seemed to work because we were able to make some HOT pictures! (Haha!)
