This is my third time photographing Tara & Brian. We’ve done Old Hollywood and Rock Star portraits. This time there was a new addition to the photos – their 14 month old son! This session was all about having fun on the playground. Isn’t he just a little doll?

October 22, 2009 by audrasphotographyCake: Erika at Lisa Gregory
Decor: Lisa Gregory
Hair: Meena at Scissors (in Guildford Mall)
Make up: Kelsey Dickson
Reception: Occasions by the Pond
Catering: Canuel Caterers
Belly Dancer: Rahel Claman
Yvonne & Paul were married last Saturday at St. Matthew’s RC Parish in Surrey, followed by a reception at Occasions by the Pond at City Hall. The day started out pouring buckets of rain, but cleared up in time for us to shoot almost all of the formal photos outside. The photo gods were definitely watching out for us that day!
Paul & Yvonne hired a belly dancer for entertainment at the wedding and she was a huge hit – especially with their adorable daughter who followed her around trying to imitate her moves. My favourite picture of the day is probably the one of Gabby digging into the cake when she thought nobody was looking. I didn’t ask her to do that for the photo… I swear!!
Jacquelyn & Trevor’s Pacific Inn Wedding
October 22, 2009 by audrasphotographyJacquelyn & Trevor were married on October 3rd in the garden at the Pacific Inn in White Rock. It’s such a pretty location in the fall with the ivy climbing the walls turning a bright red. Place an insanely gorgeous couple in front of it and we have a winning combination.
We hit White Rock Beach for a few photos as well before heading back for the reception at the hotel. With Jacquelyn being a dance instructor, I had a feeling that the dance floor would be jumping and it certainly was! What a great day all around. I was so happy to be a part of it!
Kim & Marcel’s Grouse Mountain Wedding
October 22, 2009 by audrasphotographyVenue: Grouse Mountain
Cake: Cloud Nine Confections
Flowers: Fresh & Fabulous
Hair: Christal Beacon of Beehive Hair Lounge and Val Liao
Makeup: Leslie Chang (leslie.chang@gmail.com) and Mei Chiu at Beauty Creator
After shooting a family-slash-engagement session for Kim & Marcel back in June, it was fun to see them all dressed up for their Grouse Mountain wedding on October 2nd. We made some fun photos at Ambleside Park before heading up the gondola to the Timber Room for the ceremony & cocktail reception. I loved their favours – baby food jars filled with gummis with ‘them’ listed as the ingredients.
Gillian & Jordan’s Furry Creek Wedding

I love this time of year. The crisp air, that autumn-y smell and the beautiful changing colours. What a gorgeous day we had up at Furry Creek for Gillian & Jordan’s wedding on Saturday. Sure, it rained for a tiny bit of the day during the ceremony. Big deal… we’re Vancouverites!!
Watching the rain come over the water with the sun streaming in behind the clouds was amazing to watch. Highlights of the day included Jordan’s Dad on the bagpipes, guests singing for kisses (no tinking glasses at this reception!), the best man singing in multiple accents & languages and Gillian’s Mom heating up the dance floor. Gillian & Jordan were a treat to photograph, too. They are so in love that they hardly needed any guidance from me – they just snuggled and kissed and hugged and snuggled some more.
Here are a few faves from the day. There’s lots more on my Facebook Page!
Congratulations Gillian & Jordan!
Stephanie & Dave’s UBC Wedding
September 3, 2009 by audrasphotographyVenue: Sage Bistro
Dress: Sposa Wedding World
Hair: Moods Hair salon, Yaletown
Cake: Ganache Patisserie, Yaletown
String Quartet: Stringviva
Steph and Dave were married last weekend at Sage Bistro, UBC. With the help of her amazingly talented sister and brother in law, the room was beautifully decorated in my favourite colour – pink! With cherry blossom seating cards, watercolour paintings & favours made by Steph’s Mom, a candy buffet (which included an image of a moustached Dave on the M&Ms and yummy sugar cookies made by Dave’s sister), an ice cream cart, flowers, ribbons, tulle and lights, you couldn’t ask for a prettier wedding. Add to that a truly heartfelt toast to the groom and an order for two grandchildren – one Olympic gold medalist girl, one NHL player boy – from Steph’s Dad and I would say this was a perfect day.
Congratulations Stephanie and Dave! Thanks for having me be a part of your day!
Stephan & Breanna’s Wedding
August 25, 2009 by audrasphotographySo many things to say…
I first met Stephan and Breanna at one of the Langley Bridal Shows. They had been to so many that I’d find myself looking around the room when I was there just to see if I would spot them, knowing full well they’d stop by and say hi anyways. I always looked forward to seeing them and to also rub it into my photographer friends at the show – “They’re MINE!”
Well, the day finally came this past Saturday and it was a perfect day. The ceremony was held on the deck in Bre’s parents’ backyard, followed by photos at Williams Park and then the reception was held at Murrayville Hall. We even slipped over to Wally & Sharon’s Princess & The Pea B&B for a few photos in the newlyweds’ honeymoon suite.
Breanna & Stephan hired some awesome vendors as well, which always makes for a great day. 5 Star Catering knocked it out of the park once again with their fabulous buffet and Scotty from Creative DJ Services kept us entertained throughout the night with fun, games and great tunes. Raj from Didi’s Flowers did an amazing job on the flowers (as usual) and the cake was made by a friend of theirs.
This was an extra special weekend as Stephan’s Gido just celebrated his 91st birthday the night before the wedding and also recently celebrated 65 years of marriage with his adorable bride!
Enjoy!
Yummy, yummy shortbread…
August 23, 2009 by audrasphotographyYesterday on the way to Stephan and Breanna’s wedding in South Langley (pics to come later this week!) I stopped at the farm store at Langford Farms to grab a quick snack. What a great little shop! It was full of pottery, artwork, dried and edible flowers, and a variety of gourmet treats and gifts. I only had a few minutes before heading off to the wedding so I quickly opted for a ‘Petals Petites’ shortbread biscuit and it was seriously the most delicious shortbread I’ve ever tasted. I’ll definitely be making a trip back for a longer look in the shop, and – most likely – more shortbread.

Tom & Angie’s wedding
August 8, 2009 by audrasphotographyTom & Angie were married last Sunday at Monk McQueens in Vancouver with an amazing view of False Creek and Yaletown. With a gorgeous white dress with a black bodice, you should have seen Tom’s face light up as he saw Angie for the first time! I love how in love these two are.
Krista & Scott’s CRAZY Wedding
July 27, 2009 by audrasphotographyKrista and Scott got hitched this past Saturday out on her best friend Melinda’s property in Langley. Krista and Scott promised me that their friends were crazy. Not just a little bit, but REALLY crazy. They didn’t let me down. I had so much fun at this wedding (I know, I’m saying that a lot lately!
)
Not only were their friends crazy, but the weather was too. We shot the formals before the ceremony which turned out to be really lucky because just as the outdoor ceremony started, it started to sprinkle. Once we moved out to the tent for the reception – BOOM!!! Thunder, lighting and buckets of rain. They say if it’s rains on your wedding day it good luck. I’d say Krista and Scott have enough luck to last them a lifetime now!
